Working on the Works Cited Page

Bibme.org.  First you must register on the site so it can save your files for you. (I promise, no junk mail.)

Then you choose between the tabs at the top.  Pick the one that matches what your source is.  For instance, if you found an article from a magazine through a database, choose "Magazine."  If it is an academic title, it's a "Journal."

After you click on a tab, you MUST choose "Manual entry mode."

Then you MUST use the drop-down box next to "Origin of Article" where you can indicate that you got it on a database (or not, if you have the print version).  It is this box that will give you the correct windows to fill.

Fill in all the windows that you can.  Be careful to capitalize correctly because that is what will come through.

When you tell it to add, it will place the information up in the right side box.  To edit, you click on the pencil.  To print your Works Cited page, click on the "Download" arrow.  You should get a Windows document that shows your sources in MLA style.  Check it over carefully.

PLEASE NOTE:  Some students are being asked for database passwords when they try to access the databses from home.  The passwords are in the LINKS on the sidebar of this blog.  The folks trying to get TheHub to work would like a screenshot of when this happens to you, so send me an email about it please, if it does.
