You have read either

"As Attitudes Shift on PTSD, Media Slow to Remove Stigma" by Mike Haynie page 546-548.

OR

"The Creation of Discontent" by Juliet Schor pages 611-613.

or two other essays, if you used the old edition of Bedford.

I hand out the prompt, and you have the class period to type or write a response.

Count Day

Get out all your graded papers with their rubrics. Spread them out in order. Now open this link:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3TGP267

Use your papers to answer ALL the questions on the survey.

When you have completed the survey, count your pages and fill out the sheet I'm passing out.

If you have more than 25 pages, I'll initial your paper and you are done.

If you are taking the final, please still count your pages and turn in the sheet.

THE FINAL:

For tomorrow, choose ONE essay and read it before class:

"As Attitudes Shift on PTSD, Media Slow to Remove Stigma" by Mike Haynie page 546-548.

OR

"The Creation of Discontent" by Juliet Schor pages 611-613.

If you had more than 25 pages but want to help your grade, you may take the final, and I'll only use your score if it DOES help your grade.

Daybooks Due

You have been giving and getting feedback about writing all quarter long. Today I would like some feedback about this course from you.

First of all, we look at the college syllabus for the class. In your daybook make a list:

1. Two course objectives you definitely believe were well-covered. Explain.

2. Two course objectives that were less well-covered. Explain.

Now, go to the Hub and respond to the course evaluation there. PLEASE type in answers and take your time.

Next, I return your papers.

Now you fill out the daybook score sheet and turn in your daybooks.

Homework:

For tomorrow collect and bring every returned paper with its grading rubric. If you did not save the graded copy of a paper, it cannot be counted. I will have the shared in-class essays to return tomorrow.
