CRAAP Testing Google

You hand in your Problem/ Solution papers, with all drafts and comment sheets BY YOU.

Thinkwrite: What do YOU think? Do you agree with the assessment of Wikipedia above?  When is it okay to use Wikipedia?

Now, you're going to apply the CRAAP test to a Google search.  Use Google to search some terms that relate to your Problem/Solution paper that you handed in today.

You are going to take a screen shot...I show you the way I know to do this. If you can take a screen shot of the first page of your Google search and print it, do so.

Now, number the results on the page. In your daybook under today's title, write down your research question, and then those numbers. Next to each number write the letters CRAAP vertically. You'll need to rate each item pass or fail with a short explanation.

There will be some time tomorrow to work on this in class as well.

Homework:

1. You are working on writing the paper due THIS FRIDAY.

2. TWFTD: bias in the OED.
