Using Databases for Research

1. Return of your Summary/ Evaluation/ Response. In your daybook:
A. What is one strength of this paper?
B. What is one weakness?

2. Meet Mike Mulligan! Which leads to this article.

3. One source of credible material is a library database. (Maybe.)

Go to The Hub and click on the Library (LRC) link in the row of links below the top section.

We will all look at the top two databases, specifically Gale.

I hand out the assignment sheet for the last Solo paper.

You will have time tomorrow to look for and print out an article on your topic.

Homework:

1. Your Final Version Problem/ Solution Paper is due, with all comment sheets and drafts. You should have a Works Cited page if you did consult sources; use EasyBib and be ready to make corrections when the paper is revised for the last assignment.

2. Be looking for an article to read, summarize, and evaluate using the CRAAP test. Best case: choose an article that applies to your Problem/ Solution paper.

2. TWFTD: annotate in OED.
